I am looking forward to my 7th year at Lake Forest and my 11th year of teaching. I grew up locally in Folsom, attending Oak Chan Elementary as a child, then Folsom Middle School, and Folsom High School.  I grew up practically living at the ballet studio, however, I also had a passion for riding horses and traveling, all things I still adore today. After graduating high school in 2006, I attended Sonoma State University with a dance scholarship and received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development. After graduating, I attended UC Davis while obtaining my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master's in Education.

I began my teaching career at Brighton Schools in Folsom teaching both pre-K and TK. As I am an advocate of our public school system, I left Brighton  after two years to go work for Elk Grove Unified School District. I taught there for another 2 years teaching third grade and TK until we bought our home in El Dorado Hills. I was lucky to find that Rescue Union was hiring at the time and ended up with a job very close to home here at Lake Forest. I have taught every grade between kindergarten and third grade while here at Lake Forest.

My husband, Brian, and I have a 4 year old daughter named Charlotte and a baby girl named Hallie. We also have a white golden retriever and a cat at home. You can often find us walking our dog, Finley, playing at the local parks, or visiting Lake Tahoe. We also love to travel and try to make it a habit to visit somewhere new each year.

I am so excited to be working with Mrs. Pierce this year in third grade! This is my 2nd year teaching at Lake Forest. You will also see me teaching TK one day a week with Ms. Baker.

I also grew up locally in Folsom. I attended Carl Sundahl Elementary, and then Folsom Middle School and Folsom High School.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I went to CSU Chico for both an undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

I have been teaching for 15 years. I started my career in Rescue Union School District teaching Kindergarten at Green Valley. Then I spent four years teaching in Memphis, TN while my husband attended optometry school. After returning home I taught at Phoenix Private School in Folsom (now Folsom Preparatory). Then I went back to Green Valley for 5th grade, first grade, and Reading Intervention.

My husband and I have a 2-year-old son and our second baby on the way in October! When I am not teaching you can find me party planning, scrapbooking, or playing at the park with my toddler. Go Lakers!
