Lake Forest students will be attending garden classes for 30 minutes, once or twice a month. Garden lessons will be led by Gina Johnston, our garden coordinator.  Students will be learning about life cycles, parts of a plant, germination, what a plant needs to grow, composting, recycling, harvesting and finally lots of eating! Children will harvest what they grow and eat it in the garden or sell it at one of our farmers market tables throughout the year. The basis for the lessons are fun science lessons outdoors. Ask your child what they learned in the garden this month!
